Identification of color-changing lenses
Jul 17, 2021
The pros and cons of the color-changing lens are mainly determined by the speed of the lens and the service life of the color-changing agent. A good pair of color-changing lenses should change color fast enough. If the discoloration speed is too slow, the eyes will feel very uncomfortable, so the performance of the lens is poor. Of course, lenses that change color too quickly are not necessarily good. Such lenses may fade very lightly at high temperatures and fail to block the sun.
Another important performance of the color changing lens is its service life. A good color-changing lens should have a long enough service life, and generally should not be shorter than the service life of the lens material itself. The poor performance lenses are generally used for a few months, and some even only use for a few days and the color will not change.
In addition, the color-changing lens must have a lighter background color so that it has sufficient transparency indoors. After some color-changing lenses are used for a period of time, the lens material cracks, deforms, etc., all of which indicate that the quality of the lens is not good.
The other properties of the color-changing lens should comply with the national or related industry standards for general optical lenses.
